20 week scan...

And so far so good We (the wife) decided to find out what sex the baby was and they are 90% sure it is a girl which is cool as most of my side of the family (not my mum ) are male. Also we both had an inkling that it would be a girl but that is probably a fluke more than anything else...

At least we know what colour to paint the room now

Good to hear. Is this your first?

Don't go too metal with the pink, one of my friends was having twins so wanted to be prepared, the hospital told them 100% it was 2 girls and out popped 2 boys.

I know that feeling all too well - best of luck next week mate - keep everything crossed. Getting to and past the 20 week scan is a massive milestone.

Thanks chaps,

Roger - yes she is much better than she was, she had quite a rough time early on. She doesn't feel like she has 'bloomed' yet as people say you do in pregnancy...

Mowflow - this is our first, we're not really pink people so to speak so hopefully we won't be overdoing it in that department! We have been told they can never tell 100% with girls, if it is definatley a boy it is more obvious apparantly...

Chris - Best of luck with yours, fingers crossed for you...

Don't go too overboard with the pinks, here's some inspiration to show the missus (then again, maybe not, it wasn't cheap), our Daughter has this mural on here wall, it's fantastic and great for learning and counting for getting them to sleep .

Good times! Our 16 and 20 week scan pics were really good, from then on the scans get a little more difficult to grasp whats where and it becomes more of a medical check up rather than seeing your unborn baby.

We also had a 3D scan done with http://www.lifethroughthelens4d.co.uk/ that was good, being our first it was pretty fun, I'll dig out a pic if your interested

Congrats and good luck and hope all goes well. My little girl is 2 and a half now and it sure does fly! When we had a scan, nurses said they couldnt tell if it was a boy or girl coz the legs were crossed! We then had a 4d scan which was amazing, well worth the money. We then decorated her room in a neutral colour, kind of a creamy colour in case it was a boy.

The hospital we had our scans done at offers the 4D scans also, but at £200 we decided not to. They do look good though - do you get a video as well?

Save the money for a decent camera.

You will have so much incoming 'new' stuff soon you'll forget the scans.
