TPM malfunction - TPM inactive

i just put new wheels on my 2008 e92. i bought used tpm sensors from someone on the forum. they seem to be working fine, but after a week, my car threw the "tpm malfunction", then it says "tpm inactive" i tried restting the tom but it wouldnt reset. any idea whats going on with it? do the tpm senors go bad?? what should i do now?

One of them is bad. Take it to the stealership so they can find which one is wrong. I have some tpm sensors I'm selling if u find a bad one as well.

If u go to discount tire they have a handheld that sends out signals and they can find out if one is bad.

I just got this sane problem today. All I did was turn my wheel all the way to the left and all the way to the right in order to uninstall my fogs. After doing this error came on. I didn't touch the tire.

Strange. Anybody know what caused this.

I'm hoping this will go away on it's own

Okay so I solved my problem. It was completely my fault. But it is a solution at that. Turns out I was uninstalling my HID foglights and I went to cut the zip ties of that was holding a wire and cut the wire leading to the left foglight and the tpms sensor receiver on the inner wheelwell.

Maybe somebody will accidentally do the same thing as me
