How can you tell if you do or not? Have a 2006 330i sport package idrive.
Looking to buy some upgraded subwoofers for under the seat. Will need the 2 ohm version if I have the upgraded system versus the standard 4 ohm version so I read......RDT

I dont have any experience of having upgraded subs under the seats but last week i put my 12" vibe vented sub in the boot of my e90 and it completely changes the sound of the car! + you still have tons of boot space! But dont hold me to this but i think you can tell if you have the upgraded speaker system by if you have tweeters in the doors (opposide side of the wingmirrors) Hope this helps

You have some more to learn... but if you have a center channel and an EQ and Logic 7 settings in the HU, you have Logic 7/Top HiFi. If you lack all those, you have HiFi.

If you pop the tray out in the trunk floor, forward of the driver's side tail light, you can see the amp. If it's black, it's HiFi. If it's silver, it's Top HiFi/Logic 7.

In the States, all 2006 had tweeters

Base Stereo (tweeterless) only came in 2010 and early 2011 for US-spec cars.

2006 330i has the Logic7 system in the US standard, 4 ohms underseat woofers.

Thanks all, have the silver amp in the "boot" and Logic7 in the HU. I thought the upgraded had the 2 ohm but you say they are 4 ohm and are what actually should be there?

They are 4 ohm but it does not matter. The OEM amp is too weak to drive aftermarket woofers. So if you're upgrading the underseats woofers, you must also install an external amp to drive them.
