Sirius Preset Problem...

Tried searching but none of them recommended solutions worked for my radio.

Having problems storing my Sirius Satellite Presets after Sirius reset and changed their channel lineup. It will not allow me to store any presents at all.

Tried a soft reboot of the iDrive as well as disconnecting the MOST sat adapter.

Anyone else have any luck solving this issue??

Did you try erasing your programmable memory keys in the idrive settings?

Check out this thread in the audio forum...

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525907

A lot of us had this issue when Sirius "upgraded" their system a couple weeks ago. The solution that works for many of us is to unplug the optical cable from the sat reciever in the trunk, wait about 10 seconds, and plug it in again.

From other posters, it apperars BMW does not have an "official" fix yet. Sirius tech support, of course, is useless....

I have this exact problem. The dealer installed a new seat mat the other day so I thought maybe it was due to the reprogramming. I will try to unplug and see if it works.

Did you erase the buttons yet? Go to idrive menu, then vehicle/tires, I believe the option is in the top menu bar to delete programmable keys or something

Hold the volume/mute button and the eject button at the same time for about 30 seconds and it will reboot. It has not fixed mine though.

I was referring to how to reset the programmable keys not the iDrive. But ya, that didn't work for me either.

Took my car to the dealer today. They said they have had a lot of cars coming in for this problem. They reprogrammed the computer and now it works fine. Took 2 hours, they did not charge me even though I am no longer under warranty.

Here's what worked on my 2007 335i:

1. Park car outside
2. Lock and then unlock car with remote
3. Put key in CAS and start car
4. Pull power supply from Sirius receiver (left side trunk under cover for my car) and plug it back in. You can also pull the fuse, if you can find it
5. Presets should then be back. Go and reset them all
6. Turn off the ignition
7. Lock and then unlock the car with the remote
8. All should be good
