I've gone through ASC and ABS faults, not very pleasant. If your problem is anything like mine, you're likely driving around without traction control and without ABS. That being said, correct me if I'm wrong, but you're really asking if someone has the $15k Autologic Diagnostics tool, or something similar? There's no cheap scan tool for ABS, to my knowledge anyway.

Not only the BMW tool reads the ABS, faults. there are other tools such as snap on ones do read. thanks for the info.

The Autologic system is marketed to the indie BMW shops. I think BMW is still using general test system or whatever the next gen is. Either way, you should go to a shop and get a professional diagnostic. Even if you figure out what's wrong, its unlikely that you'll be able to fix it without some form of calibration via test system. I'm not an expert though.

If I had a system that could diagnose your X5, I'd offer it up. Unfortunately, I don't.
