What tires 19x8.5 +44, 19x9.5 +27 on e90?

I have been searching around the forums and finding mixed results...

Anyone have an definitive fitment results using the same or similar setup?

TireRack is recommending 235/35/19 for fronts and 265/30/19 for rears.

Anyone have recommendations for a good tire choice for us nice weather people in socal?

TireRack's recommendation is correct.

Conti ExtremeContact DW?
Nitto Invo?
Depends on what you want out of them. Daily driver or spirited driving or track?

I was thinking Hankook Ventus V12s. It's a daily driver, occasional spirited driving.

I have read on some other posts (mainly for e92 and e93) people saying that these offsets, especially the +27 in the rear are aggressive and require fender rolling. Someone from VMR also said that +44 on the front may come into contact with the shocks.

Any idea if I need a 10mm spacer on the fronts for this setup on a 2009 e90 LCI and rolled rear fenders?

You will most likely need a small spacer up front to clear the inside strut.

235/265 tire combo would not be a problem. Hankook V12's are a bang for the buck tire that works great for Socal drivers.

Thanks Charles, my wheels I believe are de-branded/replicas of VMR VB3's. I bought them from a member that picked them up from SEMA.

What's the smallest spacer you think I can get away with? or would you recommend a 10mm minimum?

I'm definitely going to go Hankook v12s, seems to be the defacto standard.

I would test fit the fronts on to determine the exact size spacer needed and adjust accordingly from there.

Hey Charles,

Test fit the fronts and they had about 1-2mm of clearance on the strut. I ordered a 12mm spacer, you think 13-14mm of clearance is good enough?

I would probably throw on at least a 5mm spacer for comfort. 12mm spacer would make is perfect.

5mm spacer is bare minimum and will fit np. I tried 19x8.5 +40 with a 235/35/19 General (which were garbage and have been replaced) and it cleared by a ****hair. I'm now on a 245/35/19 with 12mm spacer and it fits perfectly flush with ZERO rubbing (+28 effective offset). Pretty damn sure you'll need that spacer

hey guys, joining in the discussion...

i am currently running 9x19 et38 all around and just bought a set with 8.5x19 et43 and 9.5x19 et 24. my stock were the style 162s

i used the calculator from tirerack and comparing the et43 with style 162's offset,it says : 15mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT 3mm

and doing the same with my current setup with the 162s, it says : 17mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 9mm

comparing my current setup with the new one i bought, it says : 2mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT 11mm

on the struts side, i think i will be better off but will look a little tucked in - does anyone have pictures of et43 without spacers?
