Does your sunroof open all the way?
My wife pointed out that our sunroof does not retract all the way into the roof when full opened
Is that normal? I mean i see about an inch of glass.

Funny you mention this. I just noticed it a few days ago.
In both of my VW GTIs (Mk4 [2001 and 2003]), the default sunroof opening was "comfort position" which was not quite fully open. To open fully, you had to hold the rotary switch to force it to open. At that point, the wind buffeting was very uncomfortable. I had wondered if it was the same with the F10, but pressing and holding the sunroof button doesn't move the panel any further.
