Sears Point (Infineon) 11/19/11
Hey All,
I have driven with Trackmasters Racing a few times and I really like them. They are having an Infineon day on November 19th. It's $245 but unlike NASA, you won't have 100 cars on the track and you'll get up to 2 hours of track time. It's a far better value. They have a klutzy signup process where you register w/o paying then they send you an email some time before the event to finalize the registration. You can also just email them after signing up to make sure you're in. This is in no way indicative of how good an organization they are. You'll have plenty of time to warm up and slowly build into your fastest lap times. I fully expect all of you 335ers to hit 2:00 flat Here's a breakdown of their categories available 4 = Advanced - open passing 3 = Mixed - point by w/open passing optional 2 = B1 & B2 - mandatory point by in most places on track but none into corners and none in tight corners 1 = Novice - Passing in straights but they sometimes loosen this up |

Count me interested. I've driven with TMR before and it's always been a blast. Way less cars than Nasa, plus they provide breakfast and water bottles! People are pretty chill with warm up and warm down laps as well allowing you to keep your car happy.
I've never seen TMR run anything more restrictive than full track mandatory point by, even in their novice group. Cars are pretty good at letting you by, and there's so few that you can pit in for space without an issue. |

Oh nice....I already signed up for the NASA event for November. I gotta see if my schedule can fit both. Doubt I'll hit 2:00 on my PSS tires, but the temps should be nice and cool and keep our oil temps happy.

Cancel NASA and go for this. Far better experience and far more track time. With your mods I am expecting a 1:58 on PSSs |

Good day but the car limped when I was terrorizing in the 4th session. Wasn't a temp limp so I gotta bring it in.
On a better note, the 335 was great. Sure it's heavy but it does so much of what you ask of it. On totally bricked NT05s it was brilliant. I was creating enough grip where I would want my dampers revalved to have higher levels of damping if were going to continue with the car. I think these are great but too many issues for the serious driver unless of course you have the $$ to spend on developing a full track/race 335. Nice send off for the car. Perfect weather. |
