VMR V701 fitment issue

Hey everyone, I purchased a set of VMR V701 F:19x8.5 et 35 and R: 19x9.5 et 33 for my 2007 e92 335i. I took them to get mounted today, but the technician at the shop told me the rims didn't fit. He showed me where the issue was and the width of the ring where you would normally mount the rim on to was slightly larger than the area on the back of the rim. Has anyone had this issue or would the model year of my car have affected this?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a possible machining issue? Are you saying that the wheel isnt seating on the hub ring that sticks out of the hub ?

Do you or any friends have any measuring devices like a caliper? The hub lip and wheel bore should both measure to around 72mm. Did you buy the wheels new?

I don't have one of those. I did buy the wheels new, but waited for a year to actually mount them because the vendor had a special at the time I purchased it. I may be SOL on this

Hmm this is a very strange thing to happen! All of our wheels are hubcentric so if there happened to be a little bit of rust built up on the hub of the car it may not go on very easily. Could you verify that the bore on the wheels is indeed 72.6mm?

In any case, send me some photos via PM and we'll see if we can figure out what's wrong.
