Fender Rolling

Does anyone have pictures of their fenders rolled where I can see if the quarter inch thick lip is rolled? I went to Drift Speed in Los Alamitos and they rolled my fenders, but that quarter inch is still there but they rolled the inside. I wanted to completely roll that too if its possible because I wanna lower the rears more. My spec on my wheels are 19x9.5 et 22 225/35 19x10 et 25 245/30.

Drift Speed is cool people but the tech who rolled it (Toshiki Yoshioka, Formula D fans should know him,) wasn't happy because he didn't want to take the risk of hammering my fenders so they charged me 20 bucks.

I've rolled quite a few and have never been able to get that lip completely flat.

I'm concerned with that lip. I called LTBMW and they said they roll that too, but Drift Speed being a reputable shop, they couldn't even do it. They thought they needed a hammer to start the rolling that but he didn't want to risk it because he was right, he doesn't do body work

The fold is too thick for you to roll the lip all the way flat. You'd have to get the lip shaved.

The lip on the quarter panel is quite thick, and I think the only way to truly get that to its smallest point would be to shave it down. Rolling it will just add a bit more clearance.

To thick, by the time that lip is flat youll end up with a pulled fender. To date ive seen no e92 (sans M3) with a flat rolled rear quarter panel. Max out the camber and run those fk stops.

My fender was recently roll as well, due to a +32mm 19x10 stock height with General UHP 265/30/19. This only rubs when I go over bump or dip fast. I wanted to add 5mm spacer to makes it 27mm, however we test fitted and it looks great, but the shop recommended not to do it since it might pull the rear fender out if I go over fast bumb/dip. After the roll I did look at inside the fender and seem like there is .25-.5" left on that fender lip, only if that was being flat in against the fender.

I believe lowering increase the negative camber on the rear that is why i'm seeing people with +25mm with 265/30/19 works on e92, while my +27mm looks doesn't doable.

Coming from the import scene, I did use the bat method on my last 01 prelude, and it works great, but didn't feel right on a 50k car this time around. The bat method did push the inner fender lip close to flat. That also pushes your fender out a bit in the process, and its hardly noticeable unless you keep on staring at.

so only method is to shave it basically. LTBMW told me they roll that too.. can someone confirm that has done a fender roll there?

Kinda figured that's what they were doing. Really the only way to get it flat.
