Interest in HUD modification to show RPM and Gear

I'm enquiring with DVD-in-Motion about the possibility of their developing a software patch which would give the 5 series HUD additional information on RPM and Gear selection like the M5 HUD.

Anyone interested?

how much would it cost? it would be pretty sweet if we could somehow display the weather on it too

Of Course I am interested, if they can provide all functionalities of the M5 HUD to our non-M cars.

I'm located in UAE, don't know if such an installation is possible?

If you want to see what the weather's doing, you could try looking out of the window

that works too haha but i was just thinking that it'd be a pretty neat toy to have and see little images of clouds or sunshine haha

It's going to be a while. DVDinMotion is following this thread and the other one on Bimmerfest to gauge demand first. Then they will have to develop it.

I haven't heard if DVD in Motion is working on it. However Patryk at Bimmertech has developed it. We are trying to find a customer to test it. I would test it but he doesn't have an installer in Atlanta. One of the South Florida members at Bimmerfest is talking to them about trying it out through their Fort Lauderdale installer.

If it works price would be $125.

You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??"
