Pelicanparts.com, autohausaz.com, eBay... The Bosch coils are cheaper than BMW originals, which are made by Bosch.

I have three new BMW coils I bought last week. Put them in one day to test, didn't cure my misfire, so I took them out the next day. $59 list, I will sell them for $40 each. ($120 for the three of them). They are essentially brand new. They have the 2011 production date stamped on them. By having 3 of them, you can swap a bank at a time to troubleshoot.

Also have 6 new spark plugs. Same thing, were in for only a few days. Maybe 50 miles, and then taken out when I determined they were not the cause of my problems. They list for $22.62 each, sell $14 each.

These are BMW dealership parts, not straight from the manufacturer discount parts. So theoretically 2yr unlimited mileage warranty against defects.

The last picture shows one of the new plugs vs one of my 6 month old plugs.

PM if interested.

I went the same route as you. My car started misfiring and after reading all the posts about spark plugs and coils going bad I replaced them all. The car ran much better but still was a little bit jerky at times. I reset the adaptions and presto... the car runs so smoothly now it almost feels like the first day I picked it up. If you haven't reset your adaptions I would definitely give it a shot.

If you're like me and don't really trust urself with messing with this engine- then its a good idea to find a shop around where you live that has one... AND i did!!!! Taking car down on Monday to get it resetted. the guy who owns the shop worked at my local dealership for 10+ years as a master tech and left to open his own shop and took some techs with him! We will see what happens. Everything I've read about resetting adaptations is very positive so I'm pretty excited to get it done.
well good luck
update us on if it fixes anything!
