low pressure feul pump sensor replaced

I had symptoms of a rough idle the rpms would dip below 500 and spike up.. Espicallly at a long red light, and under heavy acceleration the cel or service light would come on and start bucking and shuddering. I told it to BMW they replaced my low pressure fuel pump sensor.. I might be mistaken but i dont think this the real reason why it\'s doing all of this
? I thought it would be coil/injector related possibly hpfp

Have you gotten the car back yet? Did it fix the problem?

I just got it back not even a minute ago but I'm going to reinstall my jb4 and then test it, cause when I change maps to a higher boost usually it'd occur easier too

I had the same problem. They replaced mine too. It half fixed the problem. It happens less frequently. Some one said it might be leaky injectors. When you first start it up, it burns off the fuel that leaked out while sitting overnight. Does yours do it after its warmed up too?

If its not your HPFP failing, it might also be early stages of LPFP failure symptoms. My pressure sensor and LPFP both failed. LPFP failure is common too, just less common than HPFP failure. The problem with these symptoms is they can be anything in the fuel system or ignition system. Codes for pressure sensor, don't necessarily mean it is the sensor. They test the fuel pressure everything checks out, so they assume your sensor is faulty. Only the spurious low pressure fuel codes are actually being caused by a randomly faltering LPFP.
