Bolt patterns match, it looks like it will fit on the 335is DCT but will it work even though both cars have DCT ?

M3 DCT Final Drive :

Both cars' DCT transmission have the same "model" # GS7D36SG , but there is a "suppliment" difference obviously reffering to the final drive ?

Other than that the DCT transmission is identically the same.

Thoughts ?

I wouldn't venture into this. There are usually small but insurmontable differences.

If you have the cash and can find someone that needs one for an exit strategy I'd say do it for sure.

Or another option would be to contact sticky and see if he has his tranny open still and can take measurements etc

Seems there is alot more to this than just the final drive. The swap to a DCT 2011 E92N M3 (S65) will have to consist of the following
  1. M3 DCT Final Drive $2000.00
  2. M3 DCT Drive Shaft $740
  3. M3 DCT Side Output Shaft, (left & right) $830
  4. M3 DCT Transmission Output flange $370
  5. M3 DCT Drive Flange hub (left & right) $400

These are the parts needed to complete the swap on a 2011 DCT 335is. Its a $4400.00 project
