Exhaust Sound

I have AR catless downpipes, and hi flow secondary cats with I believe either 3" or 3.5" piping going to the mufflers.

I like the way the car sounds but I feel like the car has lost that raspy 335i sound. It's hard to explain. My exhaust is loud no doubt but the mufflers are some random no name mufflers so that is probably the issue

So, my question is what is the best MUFFLER ONLY I can buy in order to bring the true melodious tune out of my e92?

Do you mean "throaty"? Remus Race do sound that way, but they're not the loudest options out there. You can make any mufflers louder by going with catless downpipes.

yes in a way. also, i already have catless downpipes. i am looking for that throaty exhaust, yes. however, i want it to sound gurgly when cruising but sounding like all hell is breaking loose when i get on it. i can not really explain it. there is a black e92 335i with exhaust that made me want that same setup for auditory stimulation....lol

Don't waist your time or money on anything but this 3.5" pipe from HPF. Sounds really nice with 3" catless DP's. 40 lbs less than stock pipe. Plus, you'll be ready for a single turbo upgrade that will accept a 3.5" DP...

I saw that system it's really really sick. but it also costs a kidney....hhaaa

anyways i am currently happy with my setup. i am simply trying to get sportier mufflers to truely bring out my exhaust note.

although they're not popular on this platform yet, burns stainless makes some of the meanest muffler sounds/designs. i fucking love the way a burns stainless muffler sounds on a straight pipe

The UUC/Corsa exhaust is just mufflers and sounded really nice on my old 335. Id be interested how much nicer it would sound with your catless dps.

How much % louder is a fully stock exhaust with adding catless dp's? And how much more % would it be if you removed the rear cats as well?

Just get a vanguard for a deep throaty exhaust that makes heads turn and call it a day!
