I love this car, and JB4 :)
So just got my JB4 installed in my 335i today, the car was bone stock until today. I only have 91 piss gas and live at 4500 ft elevation so i only run map 1 since the car is stock otherwise.
I decided to try a little test, first i had it on map 0 and turned traction control all the way off, went to manual 2nd gear at the stop light. As it turned green i floored it for about 2 seconds with the break on and let off and it took off OK but it didnt break ANY traction and it was kinda sluggish. So for the next light i switched to map 1 and did the same thing, and WOW... Automatically roasting tires in 2nd gear from a dead stop, and roasted them all the way to redline. Thats the best $400 mod i think i've ever had to date, and ive had a lot of cars. I cant wait to try a race gas map and get some intakes and catless dp's and some good tires this year (i hope to take it to the track a couple times). JB4 is simply AWESOME even on the lowest setting I dont like to beat up the bmw much (i have a 10 second daily driven talon that i like to beat up) but its nice to have some power from a luxury car. |

Stop putzing around. Put it on Map 5, do a few WOT runs and keep grinning.

And thanks again for your help sir Mike. Does switching the maps on the fly automatically make everything adjusted or does the car need to be driven for a bit before the next map i select become working properly? Basically what im saying is, if i switch maps on the fly, is it safe to mash on it right then or do i need to let it adapt for a little bit?

IMO, having meth would make me beat the car up to much. Actually, i was going to buy a car on this forum until i read that it had meth. To me that says its been ridden pretty hard. For a BMW map 1 is plenty for me, if i want real speed i will hop in the talon and beat that car up. I wanna be nice to the bimmer.
