At port waiting for shipping vessel
My new 330xi has been at the port since Oct 24 waiting for a vessel to South Carolina. Anyone in the same situation? Does anyone know what line runs the next ship to the east coast and when it is scheduled to leave? The wait is killing me! Thanks for your help.

Powers,
Please read this Catagory and it will show you how to look it up. The next east coast bound ship probobly leaves sometime next week. The 800# will give the first indication if you are on a ship typically 2 days after the ship has left. I think my car may be on that ship
My sales rep is on vacation so I don't have much info. He'll be back next week. I am dying to know what ship it is on. I called BMW and they said it left the port on 10/31. My destination is Chicago. Can I assume I am on your ship?
How can you track this? |

I am certain that you are on the Ingolstadt with me. The dealer told me it left the Port of Bremerhaven on the 31st. The ship then went to Southhampton and left there last night about 6pm our time en route to Baltimore. This is a K- line ship and the tracking they provide is poor. You can go to their website but it is only updated once a week and it currently shows the ship arriving in Charleston on the 17th, It stops in Baltimore first and then Newark and finally Charleston. It was supposed to arrive in Charleston on the 14th--maybe they will be able to make up sometime now since it is on the way to the USA. The site is www.kline.com.
Good to hear from somebody on the same ship. Let's stay in touch and compare notes. If you get any more information please let me know. |

Car here by Thanksgiving?
Thanks for the info. I checked out the website and it doesn't show much detail.
I'm hoping to have the car by Turkey Day, you think that will happen? I just can't wait! |

The Ingolstadt is late--what a surprise. It is now expected in Baltimore on the 15th/16th and Charleston the 18th. My CA confirmed that I am on this ship and I think you are probably on it too. Do you think Thanksgiving is out now? If it arrives on Friday I assume it will sit at the port until Monday and then go to the VPC. Then it has to get checked out and released to the trucking company for the trip to WI and for IL. Think we may have them by the 28th to 30th. At least my dealer is responsive when I ask for information. Keep me posted please.
