Buying a Nissan Juke

I'm here because you guys know how to buy cars better than any other forum i'm on!!

So 15 months after i first took my mum to look at a Nissan Juke, she's finally decided she wants one.

It'll be her last decent car for a while as she keeps cars for about 10 years!! (currently driving a 53 plate fiesta) so she's happy to get a fully loaded Tekna and needs CVT (auto)

Her local dealer (she lives in North Harrow) has said he'll match any price she can get online.

The only site i can think of is broadspeed and drivethedeal. Are there any others worth checking.

Oh and in other news she's going to talk my dad into selling his 53 plate E class (real POS) and keep the X5!

BTW - she's a very typical woman and all this could change tomorrow!!

But thanks in advance anyways

Hi mate, hope you're well.

Be careful with Nissan and the likes of online price matching. I kept getting (from various dealers) that they won't match prices from places like Broadspeed, etc, claiming either they are imports (Southern Ireland) or even they simply won't deliver a car (i.e. take deposit, hold it for 3 months, then return it upon cancellation & keep the interest - the latter I found pretty far fetched). No dealer would match the figures I presented them with.

I really like the Juke, some really funky ones out there, they've even for the steering wheel from my Zed, but too small for us.

I've got an amazing new Nissan contact, in Middlesborough, simply the best salesman I've ever dealt with by some margin. I'm happy to pass on his details but don't really want him being used to then lose the business on price-matching by another 'lazy' dealer. If you're happy to give him a fair crack of the whip then I'll pass you his details. Hope you see where I'm coming from .

Not to question your taste but why? I do like Nissan's but the Juke is butt-ugly.

It's what my mum likes. She's got bad knees so its high enough to get in and out of, without being too high (she's about 5 foot 1 tall). And it's small enough for her to drive around London and park.

Cheers Roger. I've got a good contact with the guys at Nobles (where i got my fast datsun). But i'll let my mum take the lead once i have a target price and spec for her. She enjoys the buying process - not the haggling, testing, etc bit...just the spending cash bit

I usually look to Broadspeed when browsing for deals.
Maybe have a look at "What Car"s tame broker Carfile.net??
I have access to a Corporate site that gives new car prices (but I no longer work for the affiliated Company, so I can't actually use them to buy legally)
Base Tekna CVT £15365 at Broadspeed. Corporate car cost £15218, so they aren't a million miles away.

Are you being serious?

The normal ones you see almost everywhere look ok but that thing is an abomination. It's like something off of barryboys.

Looks like what the batmobile would look like if it was designed by someone on a fixed (low) income.

Yeah it looks bad, but bad in a kind of 'Shaft' way rather than just shit!
