Procede V4 Setting with AEM Meth... Need HELP
Hey guys! Dont bother asking me why I went with the AEM kit... it's cuz I already had the AEM meth kit that worked great on my last project so i figured I would use on this set up and see how it goes. That being said I have a Procede Rev2.5 running the latest V4 8-17 maps, yes It's locked... ANYWAYS I need some help getting it running. I know there were guys running V4 maps with Meth before the PWM kits were out. Thats what I'm looking to achieve here. LEt me know guys Thanks a Million in Advance!

You should be able to do it by hooking up 0-5v Analog output to the Procede flow wire to measure flow if you have AEM failsafe...But the first thing you would need is a failsafe device if you dont have one, you need to buy one to make it work with Procede using a PPS kit
Once you have one use the 0-5 volts wire from the failsafe and hook this wire to the Procede harnass by referring to this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=355406 If you dont have a failsafe, you need to buy one, refer to this one as it is the best around, if your not going with AEM one. I would go with the Aquamist unit as its reliable... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=622947 Hook up the AEM progressive boost controller and the failsafe and then use the failsafe 0-5 volt wire to Procede harnass for flow reading...Make necessary adjustments for meth flow% into Procede reader once you do a log of meth flow and your done. I would use the largest nozzle that AEM has with their kit... Thats all I can help you at this point...Good luck and if you have any questions just look up Shiv's screen name and do a search of all his theads that he made and you will get a whole resource of information to help you install your kit.. That was Super Helpfull!!
I actually already have the kit installed, it's been installed for a couple of months now. I just havent had time to get it up and running until now. Ill include some pics below :-) So I know I need the Flow Sensor (Aquamist Flow Sensor P/N 806 428) and I need to do the wiring harness update, but what are the settings on the Procede User Interface supposed to be: **NOTE:The values on this screen shot does not reflect the actual values I'm running as I'm not currently connected to the vehicle** Pics of the Install: Last edited by JMARS; 02-05-2012 at 11:17 AM.. |

You will need to change injection mode to the amount you flow.
You will have to do a test flow first and datalog to see what you're flowing at. I.e. 30 then you set injection mode to 26 so if injection mode exceed 26 it will set you to map 2 settings. If flow is below 26 then it wont switch to high boost. For me I simply hot wire the pump and direct the nozzle into a bucket to get flow numbers. |

yes, after you have hooked up the failsafe and wire to the procede log meth flow. if your highest value is like 20 set flow to 15 or something. than you run map 4 and the procede will switch from map 1 to map 2 when flow is reached and other way around.

Yes... but that is dependent on what maps you are using.
If your still using the old V4 maps with autotune then you could just leave the rest of the settings. Over time the car will pick up speed as it adapts to the methanol. If you want to give it a head start you can up the initial boost to say 60 with IC of 20 and over time it will raise boost even more and lower IC to 0 on its own. I personally ran a setting of initial boost 70 and IC 0. Change these settings at your own risk. With a proper methanol setup autotune will want to raise you pretty high on the boost level so I recommend capping max boost at 18 PSI. |
