Recommend the best sounding BOV
Guys-
I'm looking to buy a charge pipe and BOV. I'm planning to stay stage 1- So no need for anything radical but would like the best sounding one. What do you guys recommend and where to get it at the best price? Thanks |

Whats the best sound in your opinion? Some people think quiet is better, some like a big snappy whoosh.

For quality I would go Tial. I went through a lot of BOVs when I had my Subaru and I had problems with BOV's leaking over time (Greddy & HKS), but never had any problems after I bit the bullet and bought the Tial. I thought it sounded really sweet but idk what it sounds like on a 335.

My Tial on the Subaru wa FAR from quiet. But I wasn't running a stock turbo and it sat right under my hoodsoop. That's good news for me though because I'm looking at putting a Tial on the 335 and I'm over the looks I got everytime I let off the gas in that car.

I have a tial on my personal car and it has a very "mature" sound. Tial is also one of the best in the industry. Currently mated on a ER CP.

TIAL, not obnoxious and gets the job done. Plus multiple spring options for those who care, haha.

Just curious... Why is everyone getting bov's and not forge dv's? For the sound?

Honestly, the best sounding bov(s) is to convert your stock (or the forge dv's) into VTA system. Just unplug the solenoids, and let them vent to air.
Give it a try.

Thanks for the replies. I kinda like the fluttering sound of a BOV. Some say it may be ricey, but it just reminds me of old turbo set ups I had on a RSX turbo and Supra.... but interested on trying the VTA system.... anyone have any links or pointers on how to do it? Sounds like a great Idea. Thanks for recommending it Constant and Skim7

TiAL vote here. It has a nice subtle "Pssshhh" sound.
If you want loud and chirpy, get the HKS.

Tial and Synapse are my best sellers mated to a ER charge pipe. Very popular combo with many e90post guys. We sell a lot of them I think over the last year the BOV has become much more popular as a few years ago it was mostly Forge DVs.

I know bov sounds good, but aren't DV better in terms of performance?
