Pick Up And Play PS3 or Xbox Driving Games
Can any of you gents recommend a good title?
Just something simple, switch on and play without all the fuss. I am thinking back to the early days games like Driver, Vroom, Destruction Derby etc. Cheers |

NFS Hot Pursuit is quite fun. It can take 5 mins to get into the first even, but thereafter it's just one 'easy to follow' event after another.
Dirt 3 is fantastic. Lots of fun event types, short multi stage rallies and x-over etc. Like an old McCrae game but with only 1-2 stages per rally and not 6. Both can be had for like, 5-10 quid each. Matt |

Dirt 3 sounds like fun, especially if it is like the old McCrae games as I really enjoyed playing them, cool thanks. |

I used to love Destruction Derby on my mates PS years ago, I fear it wouldn't have the same appeal these days. Can't beat NFS for instant thrills though.

As much as GT5 has frustrated me and it seems like you need a wheel in the harder challenges but it has so much to it.
You have arcade mode for a quick race, which I think I've done once. GT mode which has: A-spec: Your career, 7 levels with 9 events of races in each level. B-spec: Same races as A-spec but you build up an AI driver (was boring at first but I've got in to it). Special Events: Go Kart, Top Gear, NASCAR, Mercedes, Rally, Gran Tour, another Rally. Seasonal Events: Online A and B spec events, lots of money and XP. New car dealers Used car showroom Online car showroom Service shop Tuning shop Plus a couple of other features and DLC packs available. A must own if you own a PS3 and are into cars imo. |

Forza 4. there is no better racing game. If you want fast access you can go into the quick race section.

If you want a cheap intro to Forza. Forza 3 has 95% of Forza 4.
