JB4 opinion... please

So i purchased a JB4 dci new plugs ect ect... to make a long story short all i have in my hands at the moment is the JB4... i'm really itching to install but am very concerned that if i do without the new plugs i'll be misfiring all over the place. The car is 07 e92 6MT has 55K miles completely stock... runs great never had a problem in the last 10K miles that i have owned her.

One way to find out. Just install it. If it runs fine now, you'll probably be ok until you have time to change the plugs. If it does start misfiring, just change maps on the JB4 until you get the plugs swapped.

+1 on all above answers.. if you get misfires, leave it on Map0 or 4 and you should be fine...

for reference, I have 30k on my plugs now, and 73k on my car. I run COBB stage2 agg with no problems at all. I also have the JB4 for gauge hijacking and other cool features and tried Map2. The car ran just fine

+1 32k miles on original plugs no issues. Still should do it for preventive maintenance.

you should just sell me the JB4 for $100 instead, it's safer that way

Change the plugs now while the cowl is off, you will have to anyway not too far down the road if they were not done at the 45,000 mile mark.

You should def install it and run map 1 if you have a bone stock car. Like everybody else has said if its running fine right now, its going to run fine when its installed going from a bone stock car to JB4 map 1 is going to be pretty exciting if its your first time having a tune wait till you get downpipes intercooler, meth, ect... your going to have a blast watching the transformation of your car!
