Side window streaks

I have a question for the group.

Does anyone have a way to clean the felt and rubber trim that acts like a squeegee for the side windows?

Every time I wash the car, I end up running the windows up and down ( wiping the window each to dry off the squeegee). After the window runs up and is dry, I still get the dirty smudge or streak on the windows. I think this is due to the felt being dirty.

Hence my question.

I just use some Lexol Vinylex to clean and keep them moisturized.

Holy Ned, Takedown....
First ya drive a Chevy Cobalt, then Ducks has to tell you what BRG stands for and now you reveal that you "moisturize" the window trim? What's next, exfoliation of the scale inside the exhaust?

Yeah, I'm going downhill. I just have to run down to the Zed right now to remove the mud mask and cucumbers from the headlights. Then after that, I promise to clean up my act.

I used a BMW car cover which keeps my car protected when I parked it.To your query about the rubber trim,I agree that you use the Lexol Vinylex to clean and keep it moisturized.I also filter the water that I used as some of mineral deposits that are included in the water may affect the car's luster.

He's just in touch with his feminine side. Nothing wrong with it.

Don't make fun. I gotta park the Zed outside in a public parking lot 'cause they're cleaning the underground parking garage. Nervous....

Meh, I agree with the lubricating the rubber seals. It's definately a must and water will leak in if the rubber dries out. Previous owner of my car prolly left the poor car out doors for extended periods as the rubber was pretty dry and rain would seep in. BMW dealership gave me a free can of silicon spray to keep the rubber soft and pliable. Works and stops water from coming in. I make a note to spray it on the window seals and the seal where the roof meets the top of the windshield everytime i wash the car.

Its preventative maintenance...

however mud mask and cucumber on the car... that's just totally.. uhm....

Takedown8, were u in teh pride parade this year?
