Need some Bluetooth help
I know this should eventually be moved to the bluetooth area, but let's face it... no one goes there.
I need some help if anyone knows bluetooth with the E90 very well (I thought I did). Suddenly, neither my phone nor my wife's phone will connect to the car. Both phones are Motorolla V710's and both are "paired" with the car. But the car does not connect to either phone. I've deleted and re-added my phone more than once, and the system will find the phone and pair with it, but that's it... no phone. I recently had my software in the car updated (which knocked out both phones from the system). Any chance that this update has fried my bluetooth? This is more than a casual convinience for me, I spend a lot of time on the road and need my hands free phone. Has anyone had a similar problem and been able to resolve it? Both our phones sync up fine in the E91 and work perfectly. My phone also syncs fine with my BT headset. So, I don't suspect any problem with either phone. Any advice or experience appreciated.

I can't give you any real help, I've paired my TREO 650 with several E90's without a problem. The only time I have had an issue in my E90 was with the phone in an aluminum case in my pocket - it was just positioned so the bluetooth signal was too weak. If you moved the phone around (mine will still pair with the phone in the house and the car in the garage) I would blame the software upgrade.

Yeah, mine used to be that strong too, and still is for the E91. The phone can be on the kitchen counter and the car in the garage still sees it. Suddenly, my E90 won't see either phone. AARRGG!

i would suggest you guys push the sos button and see if the can get your data from your car..might be some issues with the new software |

Hey Mitch1138 - welcome. Another AW in Delaware... this just will not do! Just kidding. Hope you're enjoying your car. Looks like you just got it, so you should have the newest software and fewer problems.

i had the same problem with Assist. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6590 i brought in today and its all taken care. he fiddled with the navigation and communication settings in iDrive. took 20 minutes, but everything is fine now. LEDZEP- ive only had one glitch for my Razr so far and it was becuase my phone was being stupid. i dont know what to suggest, could it be that your car wont distinguish priority beween the 2 phones and not paitr with either? or do you have it set up to pair automatically?

I'm not sure puck. Unfortunately, I am one the punished owners that cannot set the phone priority. I tested with my wife's phone turned off and it still didn't see my phone. I'm going to test the SOS button tomorrow and make sure that BMWAssist can see all the data. I wonder if these two things are related... they are both telematics, right?

I'm going to take a drive later and test the Assist. I don't want to assume that it's working.

I got the same issue with Assist after software update, but bluetooth is working fine. Could somebody provide more information about what dealer did in order to fix this issue (if they did )

I tested my Assist and it's okay. But my bluetooth is hosed. How are they supposed to fix that? How will they test it? I'm not leaving them my phone!
