Low mile oil change

My SA said that she would do a low mile oil change after I requested it, and then she said that the oil reminder wouldn't be reset because I still needed an oil change after 6k miles.

If they're putting in new oil, shouldn't I change that oil in another ~15k miles or 12 months? She said it should be changed in another 6k to keep the car on "schedule".
New oil is new oil: should I reset the reminder myself?
The service sheet states "LOW MILEAGE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE" so the filter is also replaced.

I wouldn't mind an extra oil change on the dealer's dime, but this is my last month of free maintenance.

In case you missed it, the question is: should I reset the reminder myself?

Also, my CBS asks for an oil change in 15k miles or 2 years. If I reach 15k miles in 1.5 years, is it okay to change the oil after the American 1 year standard?

The countdown is not reset after a time based or interim change so that the next CBS change will be free. Of course, since your warranty period is ending, that really doesn't matter for you, so resetting the meter is up to you.

BMW's recommendation is either a CBS OR one year change in the US, whichever comes first, even though the OBC/iDrive is programmed for a 2 year time interval.
