Hamburger delete

Modified my turn signals for a cleaner look. This time I cut the size in half instead of a full delete.

hmmm... I kinda like it!

But with the remaining seam in the bodywork it looks a little empty. I think I'll keep my flashers... it's sometimes hard enough for folks to see my little blue roadster darting around in traffic. Now if there were a side mirror retrofit I might consider it.

Ummmm...seems a bit weird...like your car has a roudel looking nipple on it. Maybe you could get a new fender and delete the roundel completely instead. I think that would look a lot "cleaner"

Im having that done now but while I wait im playing with the stock stuff. Im having the stock clear plastic cut down to be about half the size of the stock version so it still sticks out a bit just not as far.

I like it. I'm not so sure about removing it completely...I'll have to see. The TC Kline orange car made of carbon fiber removes them and I don't think it works very well.

Let's see a picture of the whole side of the car to get the perspective....the jury is still out for me.

The carbon coupe/roadster change the body lines completely. If he could get someone to modify a stock fender with some fiberglass to delete the hole or find an aftermarket fender that deletes its it would probably look pretty good. Someone with some photoshop skills could probably give us a preview...

Not sure that would work for a white car...and I don't think white tape would look good either. It looks a little better with some of the light coming through the fender instead of the roundel flush against it...but I still think that cosmetically you need to mess with the fender for the best results.

As you can see it now sits closer to the car but retains its original look.

Oh definitely looks way better with a side shot as opposed to straight on.

Yep, I definitely like it after seeing the wider shot. Rather than "hamburger delete" I'd call it "shaved side indicators" or "low profile sidemarkers." It will sound better 20 years from now in the classic car ads:

Quote:
FS: 2006 BMW Z4 M Coupe, white/black, 80k miles, all the usual mods - stubby antenna, Aero Kit side skirts, shaved side indicators, badge-delete, OEM CSL wheels, carbon fiber roof panel. Mint condition one owner car, this rare classic will only appreciate in value! $5000 OBO.

I like the look much better than the stock.

The AC Schnitzer deflectors are way cool but stupid expensive!

The Hamann ones are almost as cool, but are also almost as stupidly expensive!

AC Schnitzer ones look pretty cool, but that Hamann one just looks like a big pock mark!

Agreed. That photo is at a bad angle. I've seen them on other photos where they look much, much better.

Couldn't agree with you more. Klaus (I think that is his name) must have something going on marketing wise that I am totally ignorant of or his margins must be monumental enough that volume is meaningless. Anyway you slice and dice it, the ACS/Hamann prices are obscene. I think we may be paying out the WWII war reparations debt.

So far I like to modified Hamburger delete the best. The AC Schnitzer and Hamann ones don't do much for me at all.
