Methanol Guidelines

I have a 2007 335i coupe with a tune and exhaust from Vishnu. I also have catted downpipes and FMIC. I just added Vishnu's methanol kit and I'm running a 50/50 mix initially. As directed in Vishnu's installation guide, I asked my mechanic to set Map 2's values to 16.5 (65% start boost) and 0% ignition correction. The guide also says "you will also want to raise the Maximum Boost setting if necessary as well", but there is no reccomended setting, and I'm not sure where it's set at the moment. The range is 0-20 lbs. I'm thinking that about 17 lbs. might be the place to start, but I would appreciate getting feedback from this community. For what it's worth, I filled the car with 100 octane fuel right before I had the kit installed, figuring that would provide a little insurance for the first few miles in case something went wrong with the methanol flow. The car is quicker than before, even though it's starting to get pretty warm here in Florida (I attribute that to the change in ignition correction), but I've only seen about 14.5 lbs of boost with the racing gas and methanol, which is about the most it would do before, without methanol. Now that I've run all of the racing gas through the system and filled it with 93 octane, I'm only seeing about 13 lbs max, which seems odd. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Max boost 20. It doesnt mean you will run 20 PSI FYI.

You car will run 65% of the settings within the maps boost target. On stage 2 map 2 its approx 17-18 PSI tapering to 14 by redline.

I believe someone made a thread of boost targets with a visual aid but if you know how to play with the software you can easily figure it out.

You could also have a slight leak at the diverter valves or elsewhere. The stock ones don't hold 15+ psi very well. I also think Vishnu recommends 75% meth or greater at those boost levels. I ran boost juice for a while but found M1 methanol locally for a lot cheaper.
