"4. Remove the stock diverter valves and plug the intake holes. What I used is the rubber caps that are put on the bottom of chair legs 7/8 size the 1' should work as well. I got a set of 4 at Lowes. They are pretty tight put I also bought small clamps from pep boys. Here is what it looks like."

Right in that thread it says you can run one BOV but must leave the other diverter valve in place to block the hole

So leave that second diverted plugged in and fully functional or just plugged in and cap off the hose?

Either way, doesn't matter.

So leaving it functional won't affect the new bov? No other way to plug that hole

I think it would be a good idea to plug both since the go to different turbos who know what one turbo getting recirculated and the other not can cause

I used a small rubber cap I bought at home door, I think I still have one I'll take a pic and post it for you. It's the rubber part that goes on the bottom of a chair I believe

Thanks! I found it on YouTube. I just cut the bottom part of the stock Diverter valve and plug it with an expansion plug and popped It back down in the hole. Seems to work fine and hold the 12psi of boost.

These are good for the return ports of the recirculating valves... But doesn't he ask how to plug the "second DV opening" I had the same issue, I used these to plug the return ports, which works great, but these won't fit to plug the second DV opening/hole. I used and expansion plug and the bottom of the stock dv.

I used a bigger plug that covered that entire diverted opening and clapped it, they had a huge rubber plug available at Home Depot that cover the entire diverter hole.

I'm not sure on BMW DV's, but I know that on Audi DV's you can actually switch the recirc side with the boost side of the DV and have a pull rather than a push type DV.

If BMW is the same, you can switch around the one of stock DV's and use it as a plug. This way the only valve venting is the BOV, but the hole for the other DV is plugged.

Ok got it. My case, have hyperboost dvs venting to atmosphere.

Oh, nice! How that hold up? It did not leak? I would love to see pics of it if you have one.

Well I'm not sure about that, but I did try using the dv as a plug but that didn't work well, I felt it leaking and losing some boost. I tried SO MANY things, but I looked it up on YouTube and found a way and finally decided to cut the stock DV and plug it with an expansion plug. So far so good, not sure if that will hold up for a long time. I'm just doing this for the mean time till I get an ER CP later down the road.
