2012 335i Coupe with N54 and 7 speed
A dealer was able to ear mark a 335is coupe with an N54 motor that's sitting in a port here in TX. It supposedly has a 7speed automatic in it also. Since the car is at port here in Texas, the dealer doesn't have all the specifics on the car yet.
So we are anxious to know if anyone here knows if a 335is with the N54 motor can even come with a 7-speed automatic... Also would anyone know if the car is likely to be the E92 or F30 body style? We're anxious to find out, but won't know for 7 days until the dealer gets the car and all the specifications on it. Last edited by Hotpockets; 04-22-2012 at 02:10 PM.. |

That is perfectly possible. The only new 335's that come with an N54 are the 335is models currently, which also have the ability to choose a 7speed dual clutch transmission.
So yes, this combo is possible |

Thanks guys. One last question.
We're trying to figure out the manufacturer code for the 7 speed. Such as the motor is designated as a N54...what is the "code" for the 7 speed? |

Yeah, a reeeally big mistake. That's when you sell the car to a magazine company for double the value then buy two when they come out.
