High flow drop in filter vs DCI

Which one is better if im running a jb4 on 335is, high flow drop in filter with the stock air box or a (DCI, afe, injen,... etc) and im not talking about which one sounds or looks better. Im talking only about performance

Getting two hoes to blow in would be the best option, but I think DCI is best for power on couple runs.

Get a DCI for high boost applications. If you plan to be just JB4, then get a filter.

I agree. I also agree, you should definitely search before making a thread.

I've had both, I prefer the DCI, but I haven't tried the drop-in/Mr.5 combo yet.

The main thing you'll notice is that the car will hit target boost quicker and more consistantly vs. a plain drop-in. This difference is noticeable in both seat of the pants and in logs.

Taking the intake and exhaust completely off is best. Eliminate restriction once and for all...

What about the heat? Does the car run hotter with dci or any other intake for that matter since most r exposed to hot or is it the same as stock air box with a drop in?? Specially when running a jb4 with 13-14 psi at all times

A DCI will yield better gains and help out if the car is tuned!
