Half inch difference OR Inch difference
I have an XI and I was wondering if theres any effect over a half inch from front and rear wheels to an inch?
I know my tires will be 235/35 and 265/30. Will it be better to have 8 inch in the front and 9 in the rear? Or 8 1/2 in the front and 9 in the rear wont really matter?? Thanks, -Max

If you can choose, get 1 inch difference with those tires.

It would probably not be a problem up to 3%, but you want it 1% or less to be safe.

Thanks. That's kind of what I had in mind. Geeze! I think thats a little too much for me. Theres a lot to think about. Rime size, width, offset.. etc.

Thank you! I want to make sure everything is "perfect" before buying the wrong sizes.

Don't know how you guys find the use of different tires on the X series models, but here in the UK the E83 X3 xDrive has been giving transfer box issues when users move from OEM tires. They are very sensitive to tire sizing.
Wonder how the E84 X1 will fare? HighlandPete |

It's not a matter of how it "feels" right or wrong to you. It's science. I don't care if someone thinks it won't work, because well.. it does.

Im not questioning your knowledge on this subject. I was just saying there a lot to think about when it comes to picking wheels like width, offset, tires and etc in general. Thats why im asking these questions. I didnt know i could run 225 with 265 on an 1 1/2 difference in wheel width. I was just trying to stay in the safe zone.
