Up my tire size on Style 162 Wheels??
hey gang quick question. its time to replace my original run flats on my '06 330i MT with the sports package riding on style 162 18" wheels. I'm considering going up in size to 235/40/18 in the front and 265/35/18 in the back. original sizes as you know are 225 and 255. is this safe? will i rub in hard cornering? i like to take my car to the track on occasion. probably going with the Hankook v12's
whadya think. id like to get more grip R Last edited by reubendp; 04-25-2012 at 11:01 AM.. |

10mm probably wont add much more grip, choose a better tire instead. i think 255s is the widest you can go on an 8.5

265 is fine on the rear, especially on pre-lci.
235 is ok too, 245 rubbed under full lock on my lci.
