Q: People with LSD!

For people with an aftermarket LSD.

Do you always drive with your traction control completely off. (holding dtc button), Or only turn it off when you need to?

Would turning traction off be better to get the most noticeable difference with the LSD.. I just got an Quaife LSD installed ordered from HPautowerks, and I do notice a difference in traction when i floor it from a stop, i dont lose traction.

What kind of tests did you guys do when you guys received your LSD to make sure it was working properly?

Waited about 1,500 miles then changed the diff fluid. Once it was "broken in" she was raced around several tracks, drag strips, and spirited driving. The first time you step on it, you will immediately feel the difference. No more unpredictible one wheel burnouts. While at the track, it helps tremendously when exiting corners as well.

Old fashioned lock were either on or off. Nowadays both types can be variable.

E90 traction control is passive, which means it only kicks in if it detects a wheel spinning (which is less likely now) I find ESP off, dtc on is a good compromise, but even fully enabled traction light hardly comes on now.

Should i be always driving with DTC on, or Holding dtc with traction fully off... or should i just leave the traction on.. Which is the best with a quaife LSD.

What should my setting be on, if i want to take an aggressive turn? or If im flooring straight line from stop? or if i take a highway ramp fast?

I would suggest getting comfortable first with your lsd and then you can decide if you want to drive with dtc on or off. Or attend a driving school.
