i read only one thread about the vishnu single kit
i read that it has around 600 whp but with 94 oct
so you have to drive with race gas all the time or meth
then the car will not e a daily drive car
thats in my opinion
if i have a misunderstanding please tell me

It's early right now in the development of the single kits. If ur buddy can't wait a year or so, get rb's, otherwise wait a year for these single kits to get finished. If he only wants to stay on pump, I would go with RB's.

Since he just got the car, why not get fbo, tune, and have fun with the stock turbos for a bit?

How can people actually recommend full race or hpf at this time, kind of comical if you ask me. Maybe a year from now they may have solid kits but to say they will succeed based on track record is veryyy wrong. Just look at hpfs progress with their single.

RB's with 93 octane and meth are fun. Let the single turbo options prove themselves for a year or so before jumping on that band wagon. RB's seem to re-sell without issue.

It would be interesting to see which of RB and Vishnu single would do better on road courses. I won't count out the RBs for that. No flame intended.

If I were you I would get FBO first. I would recommend it for both options you want to go with single or RB. So you can actually support the upgrade you choose.

Also if you cant wait for some reason and are just hell bent on upgrading before FBO. I would go RB for now for it's proven reliability. Not saying Shiv's single is bad..it's just not in mass production yet. Plus I would let that singles develop for a year or so to see the options that come out. As far as singles go it looks like Vishnu's is the only setup going anywhere. HPF for what I have read they seem dead in the water...

A year or two from now it will probably be Single's dominating...but will see.

That's my 2 cents.

Our single turbo makes a bit over 500whp on pump gas running 17-18psi. Basically the same power the RBs make running 20psi with race gas/meth. The 62mm turbo option makes full boost at 3500rpm. The 58mm option makes it at 2800rpm which means it spools up as fast or a touch faster than a set of upgraded twins. And it should still be able to make 500+whp on pump gas. Either the 58 and 62 will make 600+ with meth at 22-24psi. And they will do it with relatively low exhaust backpressure levels and lower compressor outlet temps. Which means that the engine will see less stress with the single. Even when making more power. The single turbo itself will also be more robust and consume less oil.

Then again, a set of RBs will be more affordable and look stock. They are very enjoyable turbos and represent a good value. Performance wise though, the single turbo is in another league.

I just wish the single turbo will shatter the RB 1/4 record.

60-130, it does.

At the strip, it's a bit unfair to compare a 6mt to a 6at 1/4 mile pass. Especially when the 6at can launch in 2nd and get full traction from the get go. Give it some time before the chassis catches up with the single turbo engine. Or just wait for a single turbo car with a 6at. Fortunately, this is of little relevance on the street where people don't do drag launches at stoplights.

Shiv, As Much as I hate to say this. Your single turbo almost makes me want to keep my car automatic.
