Sounds like it will be some vehicle. Maybe you should have listed the options you didn't get

WOW Makes my car seem like a poverty pack (see below). I'm NVS. You would have struggled to keep it under $100Ks.

Adaptive M running gear is just how it appears on the order sheet and configurator but it's the same thing, and thanks CA is an interesting one, I didn't take it on the last car I bought 4 years ago and regret the decision somewhat. I like the idea of getting in, sitting down and punching a button without having to insert the fob.

I wanted to say grats on the M-sport, I reckon you'd have to just about me top of the list for that line here Down Under! Be good to see the pics when you get it.

I'm sure the Estoril Blue II paint will look beautiful too.

Interesting because I'm very happy to slip the key fob in the slot, know where is is and never having to change batteries over - not that it's a big deal, mind you. I'm still thinking about including CA.

Thanks for your support too. Oh yeah, will post pics. You too!!
Cheers

Keyless start is standard on all F30's, so there's no slot for u to insert the key.

Yeah, I know that. No issue there. Just pointing out the convenience for me of non CA in my E90. Not really sure about the CA package for F30.
Still happy to pop my key fob into the slot of my E90.

Will keep the F30 in pocket if it sits nicely there. It's rather big - the key fob, that is!!! Maybe I'll stick it in the front cup holder.

Now, do I want CA or not?……………...

Hi guys, nice to see an Aussie forum with some action. My car was ordered April 4th, went into the factory 21 May, expecting late June delivery...possibly early July.

19" double spoke 401's
Adaptive M suspension
Variable sport steering

Nice build, Chris!

Do you know if the cars get shipped to Durban or Port Elizabeth once they leave the factory?

Hi There - I don't know, per se, but I believe it is Durban, just from what I've read around the forums.

When was your build date and when did they tell you youd get the car roughly?

I'm trying to confirm this at the moment. It'd be ideal if it was, there are more ships between Durban and Brisbane than PE. Durban is also less distance to Rosslyn so I thought it'd make more since to ship from there.

It's being built now (first week of June) and I was told to expect a mid-August delivery. It might be as early as late July, but I won't get my hopes up too much until the VIN registers on the WW tracking site.

Cool, well mine was 21 May build, only a week or two earlier but its coming to the west coast, I wonder if they send separate ships to each side or if one heads over to the east after fremantle... Probably the latter right?

Yeah well I figure:

build one week
Wait to ship two weeks
shi[p one week
customs etc one week
dealer another week.

So my guess is mine will be here very late June or first week July... maybe im optimistic, after waiting since I ordered on April 4th, its starting to get to me!

I thought to post up info on how to track your car in the Australian sub forum (http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=702664)

As a heads up people I wouldnt too excited too quick. I was told by BMW (Dealer) with a "Joy is anticipation" email that my car (328i) would go into production on 1st May, but from the Shippers screen shot that the dealer sent me yesterday its actual build week was 1221 (ie 21st week of 2012).
In essence it didnt make production until the 21st May, a full 3 weeks after it's origionaly planned start and was ready at plant from the 30th May. I'd read a few reports about shortage of the new engine for the 328i of recent and maybe this was the reason for the production delay, but the dealer couldn't confirm this. I would assume a delay in my production would have a knock on effect!
When I spoke with the dealer yesterday they said that once it has been allocated a ship BMW customer care will send you a link to a BMW system to track it, but not as detailed as the US system. He also stated it then takes 6 weeks from being allocated a ship to delivery to the customer (Perth).
Ships from SA leave every 1-2 weeks on average and one has just left.

Below are the next visible shipping schedules on the WW site.

Hey thanks for this info... 6 weeks from ship allocation huh... That puts me at early July.

Well the West Coast BMW production manager verified it went into production 21 May...I'd heard about the production issues but I think I dodged that one since I'm getting the 335.

They told me I'd get the email (none yet) and the dealer said he'd buzz me when it's here.

Did they send you your email already Pan? Is that where u got the shipping date info?

Not yet. The shipping date info I got off of the WW website and then search by port. This is also the site that Ive been checking myself using my VIN.

Similar time frame as my E90 7 years ago. Rosslyn Build May 2005, delivered Melbourne July 2005

HA!!!!! I know how you are feeling right now!!!! I ordered my 328i on March 9th and the damn thing hasn't even been built yet! No indication when it will be built at this time. GRRRRRR

It is an M-Sport, so earliest possible time is July, but I understand that August is possible start date for Rosslyn factory builds.

Oh well, I have my super trusty 325i to keep me company till delivery later this year. I will miss the wonderful sound of the six when revved.

I'm wondering if anyone here (in the Aus forum) has their F30 delivered yet? Paninaro might be the first by the look of it.
