Does anyone know what happened to Carking and why they are no longer a vendor?

Just spoke with Brad (carking), he said he paid his dues and doesn't know why they shut it off. He's PM'd the appropriate people to restore the status.

Glad to hear it!

I don't think so. Carking has had many good reviews from the members on this forum. They would not recommend a company if they are no good.

What time did you PM him? It usually takes a while for him to reply since he is in Taiwan.

Wonder why their vendor status has not be re-instated???

I just got my rear OEM spoiler from Carking and let me tell you I'm not happy. The fitment and the paint are just OK (C-). I think i'm going to sell it and get the real OEM. ( BTW also wating for Carking to replay my PM)

Thanks Brad, I got my stuff pretty fast. I am glad to see you back in business and everything. Hopefully things are sorted out by now....

There is something I need to tell you about the products. Generally speaking, I am satisfied with the product. I am happy with the paint and the rear spolier fits pretty good (B+). However, I am not too happy with the splitters and I am going to show you why.

I actually found a big void on the right splitter, shown below.

Since it's kinda located in the bottom part so nothing is really visible when installed. However, I am kinda worried that if I accidently hit something on the bottom, the void will show through easily.

Another problem with the splitters is that the bottom part of the right splitter is a lot thicker comparing to the left splitter, shown below.

Can you see how thinner the left splitter (shown here) comparing to the right splitter (shown in the first two pictures). The piece is so thick that I actually had to get a longer bolt and new washers in order to compensate for the thickness difference. To tell you the truth, I am not much of a picky guy and as long as the splitter looks okay, I am cool with it. But I had to tell you there are plenty of people here who are anal for their stuff. I can't blame them cuz these BMWs are their babies......

I am not looking for any refund or reimbursement, but I am just letting you know that I do expect a little better quality than the stuff I got. I like the fact that you reply emails/pm and ship your items in a very timely manner, but ultimately it's the products that we care the most. So as long as you can do that, I believe you will have no problem doing business around here.....

Thanks for your comment and I really appreciate it.
1.Sorry for the defective splitter you got. pm sent, plz check.
2.We had some problem with the mold and that's why when we do the injection, pu can't go through all the mold and result in the void on the products. We already start fixing the mould.
Of course, at the same time, we will fix the bottom of the mould and make the bottom of right splitter thinner.

the fixing job would take one week and we will not be able start producing new splitter until 7/9. so the deliver date of the latest GB will be postpone to 7/13.

ppl who would like to wait, I will offer you guys 5% discount on the price and ppl who would like to be out of the GB, plz let me know. I will refund you the full amount.

there is no excuse on defective product and we will continue offering you great product in the future.

Brad
