Getting better everytime (Auto-X Content)

Placed my highest in PAX and RAW ever. I'm pretty stoked.

1st/13th in Class (Index Class for classes w/1 car in them)
7th/66th in PAX
3rd/66th in RAW

Video of my fastest run:

C&C always welcomed.

Great vid! As mentioned, you did look very smooth in the vid, which as an autocrosser, is super important! Top 10 PAX is huge too! Congrats!

Catching up with ya KGolf.

Posted 5th in PAX & 7th Raw (out of 77) at a new event for me in Salem OR.

Totally stoked to have actually beaten one of the three drivers in this awesome Mini. They are serious national champion competitors.

Hopefully they don't read this & kick my ass next week at Packwood WA. 15+acres of open tarmac, no wonder this is a National tour location.

Concrete! Lucky Man.

Minis are no joke, they are stupid fast.

You running RTR I'm assuming? What's your set-up?

Here's Sunday's Event. Rainy for me in Heat 1, dry in Heat 2...which equals poor PAX for me. Did pretty well though for my Heat. Was 2nd in RAW time (STR S2000 on Star Specs ran 0.5 seconds faster than me).

Here's video of fastest run. Camera makes it look very bumpy, didn't feel that bad in the car.

BTW I run in AS or Street Tire AS. Didn't get to National tour event in PacNW but yes i'd have been in RTR.
Front toe out just a degree or two.
Front camber -2.5
Rear camber -1.5
6.5mm Front spacers on stock 18x8 rims 245/45 RS3's
Rear stock rims 18x9 275/45 RS3's
Front tyre pressures 43 hot, Rear pressures 40-41 hot.

Take away that image stabilization crap youtube puts on. It destroys the video.

Is your front camber achieved by simple alignment? Pulling Pins? Shims?

Do you rub at all in the rear (or front) with 245/275? I rub in the rear with 265s on stock wheels and had to add 5mm spacers.

Lastly, why so high pressures? I run 38-39 hot front, and 34-35 hot rear. You getting enough roll-over?

Camber is achieved with pin's pulled.

No rubbing front or rear. Although without the 6.5mm spacers the front tire would be 2mm from strut. Which would likely touch in extreme conditions.

I've experimented with pressures all year. For my style at anything below 40psi at front i get to much rollover as witnessed in video & still photos. Running higher pressures alleviates the rollover.
Rear pressure is a compromise as to low in rear will start to cause understeer.

I prefer an oversteery platform so this works for me.

You have TCK coilovers? What spring rates are you running?

I'm surprised you were able to get that camber with pins pulled. Usually shims are needed to get to that range. I'm running -2.3 with shims.

Anyways, the only sure way to check roll-over is with chalk and arrows on the tire. It will always be exaggerated on photos, like this one of me:

Gotcha. I thought you had TCK coilovers because of the TCK window sticker.

Not sure which of us your asking. But for me no, i've got stock dampers & springs. In SCCA's AS (A Stock) class we're not allowed to change springs. But ironically i can change dampers to double adjustables.

Its an asinine rule as all it promotes is expensive custom double adjustable shocks.
I'd rather bump a class & get rebuild-able shocks that have proven compression & rebound curves such as Moton, Penske, Quantun, etc.

I run an E46 M3 30mm Front Sway bar and HP+ Pads that I bought from them. They are a local company here in Ohio and I try to support locals.
