Brake lights on whilst driving
I once read somewhere in my younger years that if you see a car driving with all brake lights on, or at least the 3rd middle light on, that means it has been hot-wired/stolen. Is this true?
I'm not referring to when the driver is only slowing down. The lights stay on regardless. |

No. It's both not true and also ridiculous.

In my old Ford Fiesta, it usually meant my size 10 foot had bent a bracket that was attached to the brake pedal. This bracket pushed a switch to turn the brake lights off when the brake pedal was released.
Used to happen regularly. |
