Help with Iphone?

Ok my father got an iphone and is trying to use it as an ipod also in the car. he has the male 2 male cord and it works fine with my ipod but not the iphone.

I have tried to search and found nothing? please help me out

iPhone has a deeper plug (look at the male side of the headset that came with the phone), you will need an adapter. Belkin makes one I think.

he has the same cable i have for my ipod but i will look at it again and see!

I believe you need this adaptor. The 3.5mm plug on the iPhone is recessed a little and many standard plugs will not work.
