Secure Overnight Parking in Oxford ????

Hi Everyone,

As per title, in the near future (sometime in October) I have to go into the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, for an overnight stay (8pm -8am). Public transport to and from Milton Keynes/Oxford is virtually non-existent, especially at those times, and I am certainly not leaving my car in a Hospital Car Park, or Park & Ride overnight !!!!

Do we have any members who live in the area, who could offer me secure parking for the one night ?? Then I could get a cab to and from the hospital.

I think asking friends (got no family), to drive me there, drop me off, and drive straight back, and repeat the exercise 12hrs later is asking too much, especially when it would mean taking time off work to do it.

So are there any good Samaritans, with a spare space in the garage, or a space on the drive please ?????

Not a lot of point in going into hospital for tests, if you are worried to death about the security of your car, not exactly going to get true results ! (sorry no apologies for being a bit anal about my car).

Thanks.

Michael.

I live a good 15 miles out of Oxford so a little far for a taxi..

I used to live in Cowley in a nice apartment complex. I never had a problem parking there - you can grab a visitor space without pissing anyone off. PM me if you want the details.

A few others as well at www.parkatmyhouse.com

Are they really any more secure that the hospital car park, which will probably have CCTV security?

Thanks for the links, would consider these as a last resort, but will have to wait until I have the appointment date, as they seem to be booked up well in advance on weekdays. As you say are they any safer, would want to check out the area on Google Earth before booking, also could be on a retainer from thieves, they would earn more than the £5 per day they charge to park.

CCTV footage is only of very limited use, after the event, I would rather the "event" didn't happen in the first place !

Seen to much CCTV footage of scum in hoodies making fun of the cameras, and getting away with it.
