Both great wheels....
The one thing with the LM is that it tends to diminish the visual image of the wheel size. With both wheels the same size... the CSL will LOOK like a bigger wheel. It just depends if you prefer that or not.

Have you looked at the TireRack for images of wheels on the Z4 Coupe? http://www.tirerack.com
They have a pretty good interactive way to look at different wheels on a car. You pick the wheel, size, finish, and model/color of car and it puts it all together in an image. You can even open multiple windows to compare side by side. They carry the BBS LM, so you can get an idea of what they look like. Even if you don't buy the wheels there, you can at least "try them on".

The RGR's are 4~5lbs (each rim) lighter than either the CSL's or the LM's. The diamond black finish is unqiue. Not to mention that these wheels are more rare than the CSL's.

The BBS RG-R is a great wheel. I have them on my S2000.

As long as you're not putting CSL replicas you should be ok.
Stick to the tried and proven lightweight forged wheels. Have you considered iForged? I ordered the Aero wheels for myself. For the budget required to get BBS forged wheels, you have quite a lot of options out there. Alpine White on High Polished Aero. Rough idea of how my car will be, except I got Brembo BBK's to sit behind those wheels. |
