Injector removal

Is a special tool needed to remove injectors? If so does anyone have a link where to get one from? Thank you

Do a google search for "n54 injector DIY". There are several DIYs. I'd link it but this sight doesn't like when you link another site/forum.

I've done it and its very simple if you have the slightest mechanical ability. Just remember to code the injector properly in the DME.

Nope , just pull.
I've used a spare fuel line to thread on the injector and use as a handle to pull.

No special tools other than an E10 Torx socket. They should not be seized in the head, and should pull out with hand force. You will, however, need special tools to install new seals properly. Seals are not reusable.

Not sure which company sells them without the black seal in place, but the ones I received from my local dealership come installed already. They also come with a metal cap installed to protect the tip and compress the seal.

*******Do not remove the cap until you're ready to shove it in the hole.*********

A few of mine were difficult to pull out by hand. A short piece of rope with the ends tied together and looped around the black part of the injector made them easier to grab and pull out.
