Production of adapter to mount 8" sub under the seat....

Hi.

I am wondering if there is any interest in a non OEM adapter plate to fit a Pioneer TS-SW841D 8" sub in the room for the OEM sub in the E90?

I am just now working on making a prototype adapter for my girlfrends e90, and the company I work in is possible interested in mass production this adapter. Therefor I would know if there is any potensial international byers for this product?

If you guys and girls that is wondering of upgrading the stereosystem in your e90 is interested in this product, please let me know. Also say what you mean this kind of product is worth.

(If any Moderators does not like that I am using this forum to do this product survey, please just delete the thread.)

If any have question please ask them here or on ble.engineering@gmail.com, not the adress listed below

Best regards

Would this just be a cover or a whole box to put the speaker in? I have two of these Pioneers sitting on my table and was wondering how I was going to do the install..

Either a complete box, or a plate, with nessesary damping plates ect....

It depends on production cost and if there realy is necessary with a complete box....

Why Pioneers? There is more work to do with Pioneers than Earthquake SWS-8, which would be almost a direct swap. So why do you prefer Pioneers?

This would be a good thing to also market to the car audio forums where the professional installers and dealers hang out.

Using Earthquake is no problem, but in european cars there is not standard with this enclosure you can mount the Earthquake in. And why go for the next best option?

Hi.

Blaupunkt is actualy considered, but with the bad reputation conserning warranty here in europe, we decided to try with Pioneer at first....

But who knows... maybye you can use Pioneer, Earthquake and Blaupunkt`s in the envclosure

Just got an quote today for making custom enclosure to fit the Pioneer shallow sub in my e90.

Customizing the original enclosures they charge 800Euro, that's just above $1000

Will get another quote tomorrow with another installer, keep you posted.

For sure there is a market in Europe to fit Pioneer in E90...

The suggested enclosure is 11,3 litres. In reality somewhat smaller is surely ok. How big enclosure you can fit there considering the space available under seats?

Surbotaab, do you have any reasonable price in your mind for the enclosures?

Hi. the volume in the enclosure is to be smaller.. Byt we can`t get any more space there.... The price depends on production cost and if we can get this project sold to any good distribution partners. The situation we got now is that we don`t have the capacity to both develop and distrubute the product.

So we are interested in a partner that have the rigth distrubution channels and can buy the rights for the product or can rent us to develop the product...

Any one that can tip-off a big distrubitor about this?
