Dynamic Handling

So why did we/I miss out on it in the iDrive setup?
The settings options should show a SPORT option in the list if it is included.
From there you can adjust chassis settings. Have Sport mode selected with the 8 available smooth gear changes of Comfort.

Does someone here in Australia have this iDrive adjustment?

Was told it's only available on models with Pro Nav?

As I don't have it I assumed this to be fact? But looking at your sig, seems you already have Pro Nav, so you can't select the chassis settings?

Yes I have it on the iDrive and also adaptive suspension. Adaptive is fantastic, if you are contemplating about buying a new bmw make sure you at least tick that option, you will love it

I purposefully didn't choose Adaptive as I had chosen M-Sport and as you know, comes with Sports Suspension. Of course at the time of order, I did not know (no one enlightens you - dealers I'm talking about) about the suspension setting option with Adaptive.

Besides, I wasn't going to pay 'twice' for suspension, so I channeled my funds into other options.

Thanks for the clarification.

Here are the photos - I sure hope this is what you were talking about - about adaptive and the dealers, here they didn't know much but to go to the sales brochure and read out the adaptive description which is quite vague - it should read: "adaptive in comfort mode makes the car absorb more of the road imperfections and reducing that feedback to the people in the car, in sport mode it stiffens the car reducing roll. Your car also sits 10mm lower"

So, you can either choose both drivetrain and chassis or either one when you switch into Sport mode, the sport dials were in a different location under vehicle info - you would think that they would be in the same menu

Thanks very much for your time Drk280.
I have the power/torque display but NOT the iDrive option as per your first photo. Considering I have the M-Sport suspension, just a little disappointed.

I suppose because it is just a fixed, 10mm lowered suspension, there isn't anything to option or adjust.

Cheers

Your car must have the adaptive M suspension to get the "sport" control of Drivetrain/chassis in iDrive.

In the US we get this as a package with VSS.

Yeah, thanks. I really didn't think twice about the adaptive as I have the lowered M-Sport suspension. I was aware they were somewhat different.

I suppose no one really knew about additional iDrive adjustments until they bought their cars and went through the options on iDrive settings.
