Painted Rear Reflector Non-S Sport

Hello All,

With serious concern of sounding like a noob, I am regrettably asking if anyone has installed painted rear reflectors on a non-M Sport rear bumper. I found one thread of someone from Hawaii buying the painted rears, but nothing about install details. I have sited searched extensively now, including asking Nate @ iND before I purchased from fronts/rear/whiskers. He said they had not installed any, but may be doing so on there shop-owned car sometime soon. I looked at a few diagrams on realoem, but nothing really conclusively defines how to do so. I am just trying to avoid how the F10 guys are installing their's by mounting an "L" bracket to a piece of 3M tape and pulling like hell.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-Thanks,
Ryan

I haven't replaced the rear bumper reflectors but I think if you check out Mod Bargains, Bimmian or a similar vendor I'm sure you'll find what you need. They often times have instructions how to install products too.

Although a very good suggestion, it appears they only sell front reflectors, and install details for the fronts only as well. Hoping to hear back from Nate at iND, but not sure if they have any urgency to do it. Thanks though for the suggestion, I tried that myself but was let down.

Anyone else out there in the same situation as me?

Actually no, if you look closely they do have the rear one at Bimmian and the install video. The install they show is for an e92 but look on their site or call them.

Good luck.

P.S. The install for the rear starts at about 2:00 min.

Bringing this thread back up. Has anyone ever actually replaced the rear reflectors on a non-Msport F30?

I just picked up a 2015 and am looking to do so but am unsure how it would look.

Not painted, but black vinyl. This picture was actually for the exhaust tips, so don't mind the red dots on the reflectors. That's actually the reflection from the garage sensor beam.

I did and there is no way to get in from behind like the other models. Only way is to use a tool from the front and pull. I used a right angle pick that I had from my old install days that used for a number of things. It is small enough to get in without doing damage. You can also get the plastic pry tools people use for trim. Either way its the only way.

I was able to pop out the passenger side from the rear, but yes, it's easier to do it from the front.

I like it...has an "adult tone". It's deeper than stock and just a tad bit louder. No farting, backfiring or raspy sounds. Sounds identical to the Dinan system.
