You can wax right away. VPC should clean/polish the car once it enters the US. |

geez, i hate hering bad advice.
u can wax right away. manufactuers paints are baked right after the painting process a lot more proficcient than bodyshops. there is no 3 month gassing period. u can wax, glaze, polish, seal right away. waiting 6 months without wax or any type of protection will cause u're paint to be exposed and vulnerable to many many elements, therefor, calling for a more extensive detailing routine. rather than just using a simple cleaner/wax or 2 step polish and seal. make sure to check if it needs claying. during transport not all areas of the body are covered and may have contaminants stuck to the clear. that will prolong u're wax/sealant life. |

I picked the car up on a Tuesday... By Sunday night the car had been washed, clayed, polished (ZPC), and 3 coats of Zanio on it... That was in October and even now with the weather around here, when I can get it cleaned up, still looks great and beeds like crazy.
BTW, if you had the dealer "prep" it, they most likely already put a coat of wax on it (as well as possibly a number of swirls).

when you go pick up your car for the first time, and the dealer preps your car, do they put a coat of wax on the car for you? just wondering.
