F30 Photography

I was feeling artistic and so took a few shots of my 320d with an SLR. Hope this will also inspire others to share their pics. Unfortunately in order to capture all the background light, the xenons were over exposed.

When trying for those wonderful nigh shots with lots of lights with different intensities, try again with different exposures and layer them (in photoshop for example).

This is how the pros obtain those perfectly exposed night shots.

Well done. Great car with lovely city skyline views.

That would make sense. Without photoshop the pro shots would defy the laws of quantum physics.

No mate, same susp as yours, just different angles make the height look different.

Instead of using photoshop, if you have set an exposure of for example 20seconds, then unlock the car so angel eyes come on, click camer, then lock after 2-3 seconds so lights go out so only 2 of the 20 secs have had the lights on and you will notice something similar to the angel eyes in my pic

That's a great suggestion. I'll have to try it next time I get a chance.

Grill looks super aggressive. Nice shot.

Also the white F30 shots are quite impressive. I like the clean sporty look with varying perspectives and elegant background. Keep the photos coming!

You are underestimating the capabilities of the iPhone camera. Nice.

Ok, gauntlet is thrown. Fired up the phone camera in the Bunning's carpark. Excuse my amateurish skills.

A favourite from my collection so far. Just basic daytime shots from a nice tree by the river

I like the city skyline shots at night from the above posts.

When I bought my car, the gift I got from the dealer was a $1,200 voucher for professional family photography and prints. My wife organised everything with the photographer and he asked us to bring along things that defined us. My wife told him I was pretty keen on my new car so he told us to bring it along and he'd incorporate it in the shoot. He got some great pics of the car (looking at his camera during the shoot) - very catalogue-like. We're going to see the final pictures on Wednesday to see which ones we want, so hopefully I can convince my wife to let me pick up one of the really good ones of just the car.

In the mean time, here are a couple of pics I took over Christmas down at Kalkite in the Snowy Mountains.

Nice shots. The photoshoot deal seems like a quite a generous gift. That's something you would most unlikely see over here in the west given the BMW dealership monopoly. I look forward to the pro pics.
