Hi guys/gals,

Not sure if many other people here have had this little issue arise but thought I'd bring it up.

The right side bootlid light kept popping out on my 328i. So I swung by the dealership and luckily they were able to take the car in for an hour on zero notice to modify the bootlid/tail light so that it would stay attached as it should.

I should be receiving the work sheet tomorrow and will have a bit of a look as to what they did exactly. But it seems to be a known issue within the dealer network as they had a "modification" already sorted.

The upside was the lovely lady that sold me my vehicle showed me the new M6 and 6 series Gran Coupe. All I can say is that I plan to sell my first born for one of these haha.

Ahhhhh yes.....

the old tail lights fall out and dangle along being the car as you drive trick....

both by tail lights suffered this fate. There is a service bulletin out regarding the issue, I believe you'll find they glued a small additional piece to the tail light clip to stop it falling out again.

Mine have been fine since then.

Mine got glued in on day 2 of owning my brand new 2013 320i

I was very disappointed when I found it hanging out !!

Hmm i thought the fix was to change the whole unit

At the dealer now to get mine sorted.... just noticed it this morning..... sigh....

Make sure they fix both of them!

The other one will just fall out eventually if they don't.

Mine booked in later this week for the same thing

Did everyone get both sides done if only 1 was falling out ?

it's been nearly a yr since that post i made and lights are still there lol..
