Would it be possible to install that shifter in a preLCI coupe?
How big of a headache would it be

Yes it can be installed on pre lci. I installed it on my wife's car which was a 2008 coupe and it takes honestly 5 mins, it is a plug and play you just follow the directions and it does work as advertised.
