What to do with your OEM exhaust after you install an aftermarket one?
What are folks doing with their OEM exhausts after swapping it out with a new aftermarket exhaust? Selling it? Hanging it in your home as post-modern art?
I'm uncertain if there is any value in holding onto the OEM exhaust as a backup so I'm curious what others have done. Thanks. |

I keep mine in a storage unit. I always keep every one of my stock parts. When I got rid of my E60 M5 I was able to return it to 80% stock and sold all my aftermarket parts for 70% of their original value.
I'm just glad the F10 exhaust is almost half the wieght of the E60 Exhaust. Boy was that thing a pain to move around!

Anyone who leases care to chime in on their turn-in process regarding mods like an exhaust?

I am looking for a convenient date with some local movers (2 men & a truck) that is good for the lads at iND.
I had originally intended to just place it up in the attic, but after seeing it's size, & knowing it is all in one piece, I need to make sure the garage is READY for such a large commitment! |

I'm also curious as to this. I'm assuming you would just keep the original exhaust, re-instal it and sell the aftermarket? What % of original cost could you expect for a 3 year old after market exhaust when you sell it?

You should recoup atleast 60% of MSRP for the exhaust. If it's in good condition (not bent or cut up, little or no cosmetic damage).
